Volunteer - Friends of NHCS

A non-profit choir run by volunteers might seem like a simple organization with people just getting together to sing. In reality, a successful choir like the North Halton Community Singers (which has been operating for over 52 years) requires many talents to function properly. We rely on volunteers to help in the following areas:

• Refreshments: Serve refreshments during intermission at select concerts.
• Parking Support: Direct traffic to parking areas before concerts (2x/year).
• Ushers: Hand out programs and direct audience members to seats/washrooms/coat check.
• Box Office: Provide “on hold” tickets to guests by name and sell last-minute tickets.
• Visual Presentations: Compile a mix of video and still image content to complement a concert’s music and theme.

And the list goes on….

The NHCS is fortunate to have many members who contribute to the proper functioning of the choir, but we welcome anyone who wants to support the choir with their special talents, even if they don’t sing.
