Once again, celebrities of the era showed up and toes were tappin’ to the decade’s hits.

Thanks to our audience who came, listened and supported our fundraising efforts for the community.

North Halton Community Singers was proud to present $1,000.00 to each of 4 organizations to assist them in their important work for those in need.

'Groovin’ Through the 70s Fundraising Concert

North Halton Community Singers, with the Rotary Club of Acton, led the audience down memory lane on Saturday, February 22nd, 2025 with music, fashion and culture from the 1970s. Disco ball bubbles flooded Acton Town Hall while paisley and bell-bottoms “bumped” across the stage. Archie and Edith Bunker revived their famous “Those Were the Days” theme from All In The Family, The Village People were spelling it out to “YMCA”, and even Charlie’s Angels showed up to take on the assignment. So much fun to support food assistance in our community!

Oh, What a Night! Acton Town Hall Centre was hopping with nostalgic rhythms on Saturday, March 23, 2024 when North Halton Community Singers and the Acton Rotary Club presented It’s Worth the Drive to Motown. Singers sparkled and shone, delighting the sold-out audience with popular hits from Motown and Jersey Boys. All to support Townsend Smith Foundation’s plan to build a hospice in North Halton.

Beatles & Friends

NHCS was thrilled to donate proceeds to the Townsend Smith Foundation.

NHCS Chair, Isobel Watkinson (third from the right), accompanied by Rob Vandervecht (second from the right), president of the Rotary Club of Acton, were very pleased to present a cheque for $5,300 to Astrid Lakats, Board Chair of the Townsend Smith Foundation. The money was raised at a concert entitled “Beatles & Friends”, which was a joint project of the choir and the Rotary Club, and will help fund a new hospice in the North Halton region.
